The Journey
Established in 1962, the Group began its journey as a modest salt manufacturing unit under the name Neelkanth Salt Works in the salt-rich region of Kutch.
Under the leadership of the second generation, the Group steadily expanded its operations, strengthened its industrial foundation, and built long-term relationships across domestic markets.
Today, the third generation continues to drive the Group forward with a focus on scale, operational excellence, innovation and sustainable growth, while carrying forward the values and vision established over six decades ago.

Over the years, Kangad family members have had the privilege of serving as trustees, presidents, office bearers and active contributors in respected trade bodies, educational institutions, charitable organizations, religious trusts and community development initiatives — including organizations such as the Gandhidham Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Kandla Tank Farm Owners Association, and The Indian Salt Manufacturers’ Association, among other social and industrial institutions.
Deeply connected to their roots, the family’s native village continues to remain close to their hearts. Across multiple generations, Kangad family members have remained actively involved in village development, social harmony, grassroots leadership and community welfare — reflecting a long-standing commitment to rural progress and public service.
